Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an IT Technician to provide on-site Windows-based support and hardware management at the Van Buren Township project location. The role involves Tier 1/2 troubleshooting, workstation deployment, and end-user training to boost productivity.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in IT support, strong Microsoft Office and Windows OS skills, and the ability to travel and relocate as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical training or professional experience.
• 3+ years in IT support within a Windows environment, via phone and remote tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
• Experience documenting all work in a ticketing system.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and travel out of state as needed.
• Willingness to relocate to Van Buren Township, MI or nearby, at own expense.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 Windows 11 support and troubleshooting.
• Deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals; install business applications.
• Set up new hires' workstations and accounts; ensure readiness on day one.
• Support adoption of new technologies and pilot deployments.
• Assist with basic network setup, VPN access, and connectivity issues.
• Research hardware, software, and IT services to improve efficiency and security.
• Deliver end-user training and guidance to reduce support incidents.
