Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an IT Technician to provide hands-on support at the project site in Van Buren Township, Michigan. You will maintain Windows-based systems, deploy hardware, and assist with onboarding of new hires.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Windows IT support, strong documentation, and willingness to travel. Training in Detroit for 4–6 weeks is required; relocation at own expense may be necessary. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical training or experience.
• 3+ years in an IT support technician role supporting Windows via phone and remote tools.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows operating system; strong ticket documentation.
• Experience transferring data to new laptops; capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Willing to travel out of state and stay overnight as needed; Detroit training 4–6 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 Windows 11 support and user assistance.
• Stage, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Provision workstations for new hires and set up accounts.
• Assist with evaluating and piloting new technologies and tools.
• Support basic network setup, VPN access, and wireless configurations.
• Recommend IT hardware, software, and services to improve operations.
• Deliver end-user training and guidance on technology tools.
