Job summary

Walbridge in Michigan is seeking an IT Technician to provide on-site Windows support, hardware deployment, and end-user guidance. You will work at the project site in Van Buren Township and may travel; relocation at own expense if you are not local.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in IT support, strong documentation, and a customer-focused approach; CompTIA A+ is a plus; training in Detroit may be required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with technical training or experience.
• 3+ years in Windows IT support, including phone and remote tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows operating system software.
• Experience documenting all work in a ticketing system.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and travel as needed.
• Willingness to relocate to project site in Michigan if required.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 Windows support and troubleshooting for OS issues.
• Deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals and install standard business applications.
• Onboard and setup new user workstations, including account setup.
• Evaluate and assist with adoption of new technologies and tools.
• Assist with basic network setup, VPN access, and connectivity issues.
• Research hardware/software and propose IT improvements for efficiency and security.
• Deliver end-user training and guidance to maximize productivity.
