Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an IT Technician to provide hands-on technical support at the job site, ensuring smooth operation of Windows-based systems and hardware. The role requires travel, potential relocation, and the ability to work beyond 40 hours when needed.

You will support Windows 11, deploy desktops and laptops, onboard new hires, and assist with new technologies and network setup. Training in Detroit, Michigan may be required for 4–6 weeks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• 3+ years of IT support experience in Windows environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
• Experience documenting all work in a ticketing system.
• Experience transferring data to new laptops.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 Windows 11 support including troubleshooting and user assistance.
• Stage, configure and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Prepare and provision workstations for new hires; set up accounts and config.
• Support adoption of new technologies and pilot deployments.
• Assist with basic network setup and VPN access.
• Research and recommend hardware, software and IT services to improve efficiency.
• Deliver end-user training and guidance on tools and best practices.
