Job summary

Walbridge seeks an IT Technician to provide hands-on Windows 11 support and hardware deployment at project sites. You will set up desktops and laptops, onboard new hires, and help teams adopt new technologies while following IT policies and security standards.

The role requires 3+ years in IT support, strong ticketing documentation, and willingness to travel; training in Detroit for 4–6 weeks is expected. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical training or experience.
• 3+ years of commercial IT support experience in a Windows environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
• Experience documenting work in a ticketing system.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1/2 Windows 11 support and troubleshooting at the job site.
• Stage, deploy, and support desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices; install standard business apps.
• Onboard and provision workstations for new hires; ensure readiness on day one.
• Support adoption of new technologies, pilot deployments, and user transitions.
• Assist with basic network setup, connectivity issues, VPN, and wired/wireless configs.
• Research and recommend IT hardware/software to improve efficiency and security.
• Deliver end-user training and guidance to reduce support incidents.
