Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an IT Technician to provide on-site technical support for Windows-based systems and hardware. The role will involve deploying desktops and laptops, onboarding new hires, and helping users with day-to-day IT needs at project sites.

Responsibilities include Tier 1/2 Windows 11 support, basic network tasks, and contributing to IT projects. Some travel and a 4–6 week Detroit training period are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial IT support experience in a Windows environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows OS software
• Experience documenting all work in a ticketing system
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and handle equipment
• Willingness to travel out of state and stay overnight as needed
• Ability to train in Detroit, MI for 4–6 weeks
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 Windows 11 support and user assistance
• Stage, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals
• Prepare and provision workstations for new hires
• Assist with pilot deployments and adoption of new technologies
• Support basic network setup, VPN access, and wired/wireless configs
• Research and recommend IT hardware, software, and services
• Deliver end-user training and guidance on tech tools and best practices
