Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an IT Technician to join our team, providing hands-on technical support for Windows-based systems and hardware at the project site in Van Buren Township, Michigan.

You will perform Tier 1/2 Windows 11 support, deploy desktops and peripherals, onboard new hires, and assist with network, security, and IT tool adoption. Candidates should be able to travel, lift up to 40 pounds, and work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an IT support technician role for Windows environments
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows OS
• Experience documenting work in a ticketing system
• Willing to travel out of state and stay overnight as needed
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and work beyond 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 Windows 11 support and troubleshooting
• Deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals; install business apps
• Set up workstations for new hires and configure accounts
• Assist with evaluation and adoption of new technologies
• Support basic network setup and VPN connectivity
• Research and recommend hardware, software, and IT services
• Deliver end-user training and guidance on tools and best practices
