Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an IT Technician to provide hands-on technical support at the job site, focusing on Windows 11 systems, hardware deployment, and workstation setup for new hires. You will help users, install software, and ensure readiness on day one at client sites.

The role requires travel to projects, including potential overnight stays, with training in Detroit, Michigan for 4–6 weeks. Candidates must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work beyond standard hours when needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with technical training or experience.
3+ years in IT support in a Windows environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
Experience documenting work in a ticketing system.
Willing to travel out of state and stay overnight as needed.
Able to lift up to 40 pounds and train in Detroit, MI for 4–6 weeks.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Windows 11 Support - Tier 1/2 troubleshooting and user assistance.
Hardware & Software Deployment - configure and deploy desktops, laptops, peripherals.
Onboarding & Workstation Setup - prepare and provision workstations for new hires.
New Technology Support & Adoption - evaluate tools, assist with pilots, guide transitions.
Network Support - assist with basic network setup and VPN access.
IT Recommendations & Asset Planning - suggest improvements for cost/speed/security.
User Training & Support - provide end-user training and best practices.
