Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an IT Technician to provide hands-on support at the job site, ensuring smooth operation of Windows-based systems and hardware. Location is Van Buren Township, MI with relocation required for non-local candidates.

The role handles Windows 11 support, hardware/software deployment, onboarding, and network support, with training in Detroit for 4–6 weeks. Candidates should have 3+ years in IT support and be able to travel and lift 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus technical training or experience.
• 3+ years IT support experience in a Windows environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
• Experience documenting all work in a ticketing system.
• Ability to transfer data to new laptops.
• Strong hardware knowledge and basic networking experience.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new skills quickly.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work overtime as needed.
• Willingness to travel out of state and stay overnight; Detroit training 4–6 weeks.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 IT support for Windows 11 systems.
• Stage, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Prepare workstations for new hires including account setup.
• Assist with new technology pilots and adoption.
• Help with basic network setup and VPN access.
• Research and recommend IT hardware, software, and services.
• Deliver end-user training and guidance on technology tools.
