Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a skilled IT Technician to provide hands-on technical support at the job site, ensuring smooth operation of Windows-based systems and hardware. The role focuses on Tier 1/2 support, device configuration, user onboarding, and deployment of standard business applications in a dynamic project environment.

You will travel to project sites in Michigan, work with end users, document activities in the ticketing system, and continuously learn new tools while meeting tight deadlines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical training or experience.
• 3+ years of IT support in a Windows environment, via telephone and remote tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Windows OS.
• Experience documenting work in a ticketing system.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Windows 11 Support - Tier 1/2 technical support for Windows 11 systems.
• Hardware & Software Deployment - configure and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Onboarding & Workstation Setup - provisioning user workstations for new hires.
• New Technology Support & Adoption - assist with pilots and tool evaluations.
• Network Support - assist with basic network setup and VPN access.
• IT Recommendations & Asset Planning - suggest hardware/software improvements.
• User Training & Support - deliver end-user guidance and best practices.
