Job summary

Apt is seeking an Onsite IT Systems Support Engineer to serve as the dedicated technical resource at a client location in Lafayette. This role blends hands-on end-user support with systems administration to keep the environment stable, secure, and running smoothly.

You will manage service requests, support IT infrastructure, and perform advanced troubleshooting across Windows servers/desktops, Citrix, VMware, SQL, and networking.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience supporting Windows workstations and/or servers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Reliable transportation to the onsite location.

Responsibilities

• Manage service requests, incidents, and problem records through a ticketing system from intake to resolution.
• Support day-to-day operations and reliability of the IT infrastructure.
• Respond to incoming support calls as needed.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and administration of Windows desktop and server operating systems, Windows-based applications, and server roles including AD DS, DNS, DHCP, DFS, File Server, Print Server, and Terminal Server/RDS.
• Administer and troubleshoot Citrix server environments.
• Administer and troubleshoot VMware virtual infrastructure.
• Support and troubleshoot SQL and other database technologies.
• Diagnose and resolve advanced WiFi and network connectivity issues.
• Lead recurring technical meetings with stakeholders.
• Coach and provide feedback to junior team members.
• Handle additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.
