CompucomStaffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site technical support in Lafayette, IN. The role covers PC hardware, software, peripherals, and basic network troubleshooting, with hands-on end-user assistance at the customer site.

Ideal candidates have 3–6+ years with enterprise IT environments, asset management experience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining professional interactions with customers.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6+ years’ experience supporting PC hardware and software.
• Strong ability to diagnose and replace PC components and troubleshoot software.
• Experience in an enterprise environment.
• Asset management experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Repair, test, image and clean PCs, laptops, monitors and printers.
• Troubleshoot software and peripherals; configure hardware.
• Perform installs, moves, adds and changes.
• Provide in-person end-user support on-site.
• Assist with server equipment maintenance and network diagnostics.
• Support outage reporting and incident escalation.
• Back up and recover user data.
