Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists is seeking a reliable Desktop Technician to provide onsite IT support for Operations facilities in Salt Lake City. You will image, configure, deploy, and maintain desktops and laptops, handle printers, networking gear, and support end-user computing in Windows 11 and Linux environments.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, independence, strong customer service, and the ability to follow SOPs and respond to tickets within SLA. On-call rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on IT support experience.
• Experience imaging and deploying laptops.
• Proficient with Windows 11 and Linux operating systems.
• Printer troubleshooting and basic networking knowledge.
• Experience with ticketing systems and meeting SLAs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Image, configure, deploy, and maintain laptops and desktop systems.
• Provide technical support for Windows 11 and Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application-related issues.
• Support user onboarding and workstation setup activities.
• Diagnose and resolve printer issues, including network printers.
• Perform basic networking troubleshooting and cabling issues.
• Respond to service requests within SLA and support CM processes.
• Escalate complex issues when necessary.
