Job summary
Volt is hiring an onsite System Support Technician in Pacific, WA to troubleshoot, repair and upgrade desktop/laptop systems within a corporate LAN/WAN environment. The role includes 24x7 on-call support in rotation and coordination with the Support Desk and Network Administration teams.
The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in IT or related field (or equivalent experience), plus 1–2 years of Windows desktop support and hardware experience with Dell or similar vendors.
Qualifications
- Education in IT or related field required or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of Microsoft Windows desktop support in a 25+ seat environment.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and vendor coordination experience.
- Excellent customer service and ability to communicate technical issues clearly.
- Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN and TCP/IP concepts.
- Ability to document procedures and create user guides.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, install and upgrade desktop/laptop systems for local and remote offices.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support in rotation with other staff.
- Manage user accounts and software accounts; troubleshoot domain issues.
- Configure network connectivity and wireless access for local/remote devices.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve tickets and meet SLAs.
- Maintain LAN/WAN documentation and health of systems.
