Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists seeks a reliable Desktop Technician to provide on-site IT support for Operations facilities. You will image, configure, and deploy laptops, troubleshoot Windows 11 and Linux, and handle printer and network issues to keep end-user devices running smoothly.

This hands-on role requires independent work, strong problem-solving, and adherence to SOPs and SLAs. Occasional on-call shifts and site schedules are part of the responsibilities to ensure continuous operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on IT support experience.
• Experience imaging and deployment of laptops.
• Printer troubleshooting and support.
• Basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Windows 11 operating systems.
• Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Image, configure, deploy, and maintain laptops and desktop systems.
• Provide technical support for Windows 11 and Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application issues.
• Support user onboarding and workstation setup activities.
• Diagnose and resolve printer issues, including network printers.
• Perform basic networking troubleshooting and cabling issues.
• Respond to equipment failures and restore service per SOPs.
• Assist with asset management and lifecycle activities.
• Work assigned tickets and SCCs within SLA requirements.
• Escalate complex issues when needed.
