Job summary

ComTec Information Systems (IT) in Mount Pleasant, PA is seeking an onsite technical specialist to provide desk-side IT support for end users, addressing hardware and software issues, network, mobile devices, printers, and phones.

You will work with internal IT teams, operations, and vendors to diagnose and resolve incidents, deploy factory PCs, manage inventory, and train users on self-service tools while maintaining OSS governance and documentation.

Qualifications

• Formal IT qualification or apprenticeship.
• 3-4 years of professional IT Support experience.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Support printers, mobile devices, MFA, Wi-Fi, email, Cisco phones, PCs, peripherals and cabling.
• Deploy and configure factory PCs, hardware and software.
• Assist with network connections, cabling, and integration of new devices/machines.
• Document issues, solutions, and potential problems.
• Provide user training and guidance on IT self-service tools.
• Manage IT equipment/accessory inventory and maintain CMDB updates.
• Coordinate logistics for shipping and moving IT devices across locations.
• Support meeting rooms and common collaboration areas.
• Host and support third-party technicians.
• Perform checks of computer rooms, including temperature, cabling, and general functionality.
• Follow OSS governance, escalation paths, Runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
• Identify and report risks that may impact OSS service quality.
