Job summary

Alexander Technology Group is seeking an IT Support Specialist for a Boston client. This permanent role requires on-site work and will support an internal user base while contributing to IT infrastructure projects.

You will deliver frontline support for hardware, software, connectivity, and mobile devices, with emphasis on Microsoft 365, AD, and remote access. Join a small, dynamic team and help improve the firm's IT knowledge base and cybersecurity practices.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of help desk or desktop support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and quick diagnosis abilities.
• Proficient with Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and Office apps.
• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, user permissions, and basic networking.
• Excellent communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, connectivity, and devices.
• Prioritize and resolve requests involving Microsoft 365, remote access, and conferencing.
• Communicate clearly with users and provide updates until issues are resolved.
• Assist with onboarding, provisioning, equipment setups, and access controls.
• Support Windows workstations, printers, and SaaS applications; assist with updates and asset management.
• Document issues and resolutions to improve IT knowledge base.
• Provide user training and collaborate on IT projects and cybersecurity best practices.
