Job summary

Midwest Foods is seeking an Information Technology Support/Helpdesk specialist for our Chicago location. This on-site role supports end users, configures devices, and troubleshoots hardware and software issues.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills, with knowledge of M365 and basic networking concepts. First shift, Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM on-site.

Qualifications

• On-site availability five days per week; no remote option.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain tech to non-technical users.
• Teamwork and collaboration across departments.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (M365).
• Basic understanding of network topology and common devices.
• High school diploma or equivalent; IT certifications or coursework in IT-related fields are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for end users and provide technical assistance.
• Configure and support devices (workstations, mobile devices, remote terminals, laptops and desk phones).
• Maintain knowledge of hardware and software to maximize network efficiency.
• Troubleshoot OS and application software to support users.
• Install software or hardware and coordinate with system admins as needed.
• Manage user accounts, access, and security configurations.
• Escalate issues to next level support when necessary.
• Follow up to ensure problems are resolved.
