Job summary

TEKsystems in Renton, WA is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide desktop and handheld device support in a fully onsite role. The position offers a 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM schedule on weekdays and a long-term contract (12+ months) with a paid hourly rate.

Strong customer service, reliability, and communication skills are required. Responsibilities include phone and remote support, imaging, deployment, and documenting work efforts while maintaining professional behavior and punctual attendance.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting PC hardware and software.
• Able to disassemble and reassemble laptops for repair.
• Experience with operating system imaging and deployment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to work onsite five days per week.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card/Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone-based and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and software applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, imaging, and access-related issues.
• Perform laptop hardware repairs and component replacement, including memory, motherboards, and other internal components.
• Image and configure systems for deployment.
• Communicate effectively with users and internal support teams to resolve technical issues.
• Document support activities and maintain accurate records.
• Manage multiple priorities while delivering excellent customer service.
