Job summary

VGroup Inc is seeking an Entry - IT Specialist to support the State of South Carolina in Columbia, onsite. You will be the frontline IT support for agency staff, handling tickets, device issues, and software problems, while ensuring security and policy compliance.

The role involves account setups, password resets, and escalation of complex problems to senior staff. A path to full-time state employment is possible after the contract period.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of help desk or IT support experience
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365, and general IT support practices
• Experience in a customer-facing role (IT, banking, finance, or another professional service industry)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for staff seeking IT assistance by phone, email, or in person.
• Deliver high-touch support with a focus on first-response resolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve routine issues with desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and standard software applications.
