Job summary

Kentro is seeking a Customer Service Engineer to support the VA-ESOM-End Point and Operations Monitoring contract nationwide, with onsite work at the Joliet VA Clinic in Joliet, IL. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in a technical field or 8 years of substitute experience, plus 2+ years in IT technical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline or 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• 2+ years of experience in IT Technical Support, Help Desk or System Administration.
• Candidates must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role as listed in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot computer systems and equipment onsite.
• Deliver remote and desk-side IT support, respond to tickets, and perform diagnostics and repairs.
• Set up and maintain user accounts, interface with software applications, and compile reports.
• Maintain Active Directory and system accounts, support connectivity and network services.
• Monitor VA ServiceNow tickets and propose corrective actions for approval.
• Handle surge capacity travel and on-site equipment movement as required.
