Job summary

Kentro is hiring an experienced Customer Service Engineer to support VA-ESOM End Point and Operations Monitoring contracts across the United States. The role focuses on onsite and remote IT support for VA facilities, with responsibilities spanning system administration tasks and ticket resolution.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in IT support, and the ability to travel for surge capacity as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or related field, or 8 years of additional relevant experience.
2+ years of experience in IT Technical Support, Help Desk or System Administration.
Candidates must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role as listed in the job description.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, test and troubleshoot computer systems and equipment for VA environments.
Provide remote and desk-side technical support and handle IT tickets.
Set up and maintain user accounts, interfacing with other software applications, compiling reports.
Maintain Active Directory and system accounts; support connectivity and client applications.
Monitor open tickets in VA’s ServiceNow system and propose corrective actions for approval.
Handle equipment returns, deployments, inventory, and verification.
