Job summary

Kentro is seeking a Customer Service Engineer to support VA medical facilities with on-site and remote IT services. The role emphasizes end-user troubleshooting, system administration tasks, and efficient ticket handling across VA locations, including Eugene, OR.

The candidate should have a background in IT support, desk-side assistance, and experience with Active Directory, ServiceNow, and Windows environments. This position includes travel and health/safety considerations as described.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or related technical discipline; or 8 years of additional relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience in IT technical support, help desk, or system administration.
• Candidates must meet physical requirements listed in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote technical support for VA-ESOM End Point and Operations Monitoring.
• Respond to IT tickets, diagnose problems, and guide users through resolution steps.
• Assist in setting up user accounts and maintaining AD and system configurations.
• Monitor ServiceNow tickets and propose corrective actions for approval.
• Support equipment deployment, inventory, and returns; handle lifting up to 50 pounds.
