Job summary

Bear Valley in Kentucky seeks an IT Assistant to join the corporate IT team to install and maintain computer systems and networks, aiming for top functionality. You will train users on safe use of IT infrastructure and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operations.

The role emphasizes hands-on setup of workstations, network maintenance, and secure systems, with on-site support and winter-season coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an IT help desk or equivalent relevant position.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication ability and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 suite and Windows OS.
• Experience with installing and troubleshooting local and network printers.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting Unifi and Ubiquiti wifi and network equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.).
• Check computer hardware to ensure functionality.
• Install and configure appropriate software according to specifications.
• Aid with maintaining local networks.
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on operating new software and equipment.
• Assist with scheduling maintenance and deploying upgrades.
• Provide onsite IT support and rapid response during operating hours, including weekends and holidays during winter season.
• Maintain records/logs of repairs and maintenance schedule.
