Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Field Services Technician to deliver desktop and end-user support for a state government environment in Eastern Kentucky. You will handle onsite and remote support, install and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices, and troubleshoot Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 applications.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years of desktop support experience, strong customer service skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

1-2+ years of desktop support experience in a professional environment.
Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing desktop hardware and software.
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, particularly Windows 11.
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications.
Basic network troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite and remote desktop support for end users in a Windows-based environment.
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
Support and troubleshoot Windows 11 operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including break/fix support.
Perform basic network troubleshooting and connectivity support.
Respond to user requests and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
Document support activities, resolutions, and technical issues as required.
Maintain a high level of customer service while supporting users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
