Job summary

Santa Clara Development Corporation is seeking an IT Generalist for an on-site role in Kentucky. The candidate will support network, server, and user environments, diagnose issues, and assist with IT projects and documentation.

The role requires CCNA or equivalent, Windows Server experience, and strong communication skills. Expect on-call duties, after-hours support, and collaboration with IT teams to maintain secure, reliable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science or related field and 2 years of hands-on network engineering experience or equivalent.
• CCNA or equivalent certification required.
• Knowledge of firewalls, IDS, and network monitoring tools.
• Experience with Windows operating systems and Windows Server platforms.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and trainable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of internet fundamentals (firewalls, VPN, email routing, etc.).
• Support IT teams in administration of DNS, DHCP, AD, VMware, and SANs.
• Collaborate on new IT projects and prepare project management documentation.
• Oversee IT team timecards, training, and scheduling.
• Assist with onboarding, mentorship, and incident escalation.
• Monitor systems, analyze performance, and plan capacity improvements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and participate in change control processes.
• Maintain records and backup/disaster recovery routines; support audits.
