Job summary

Career Team is hiring an Intake Specialist for the Jefferson Parish - Metairie area. This full-time, on-site role processes and documents customer service inflow across intake portals and supports program enrollment for WIOA services.

The candidate will maintain compliance with eligibility documentation and produce monthly reports. The position requires an Associate’s degree or higher, strong communication, and the ability to work with a culturally diverse customer base.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of community resources.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions.
• Must have MS Word and Excel skills and ability to learn specialized databases and software systems.
• Ability to work in settings with a culturally diverse customer base and be culturally sensitive.

Responsibilities

• Act as a first line of contact with participants interested in enrolling into WIOA services.
• Share information on programs and act as a first line of contact with participants in WIOA services.
• Share information on activities and offerings to all interested participants and answer questions.
