Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site for single and multi-home construction, from permits to closing.

You will schedule and supervise subcontractors, conduct homeowner walk-throughs, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include coordinating all phases of construction, maintaining schedules, and ensuring compliance with codes and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specs, scopes of work.
• Knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to travel between communities with a valid license.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule to deliver high quality homes on time and within budget.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors for each construction phase.
• Oversee homeowner walk-throughs and inspections to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Authorize subcontractor payments after inspection and approvals.
• Monitor site cleanliness and safety compliance at all times.
• Support post-close warranty process and address warranty requests.
