Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site for home construction, from permit to closing. You will schedule and supervise subcontractors, conduct homeowner walks, and ensure safety standards and code compliance while delivering a quality product.

Responsibilities include coordinating phases, inspecting workmanship, approving payments, and maintaining a positive customer experience through clear communication and proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Must read/interpret construction documents, drawings, specs
• Experience managing job-site budgets and schedules
• Strong communication with customers and team members

Responsibilities

• Manage construction schedule to deliver high-quality homes on time and within budget
• Coordinate subcontractors for each phase and ensure code compliance
• Oversee homeowner walk-throughs and inspections during construction
• Authorize subcontractor payments after satisfactory work
• Maintain customer experience throughout construction and post-close warranty
• Ensure site cleanliness and adherence to safety standards
• Collaborate with sales, warranty, and management for open communication
• Drive proactive resolution of issues and quality product delivery
