Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site for residential construction, coordinating multiple homes from permit to closing.

You will schedule and supervise subcontractors, conduct homeowner walkthroughs, and ensure safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include managing the construction schedule, coordinating phases, inspecting workmanship, and maintaining open communication with sales and warranty teams to deliver high-quality homes on time

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years related construction experience.
• Ability to manage the 13 Milestones of Construction per JDE.
• Own a vehicle and valid driver's license to travel between communities.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction schedule to deliver on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors for each phase and verify workmanship to codes and standards.
• Complete each home site from planning to occupancy and meet contract obligations.
• Inspect subcontractor work and halt noncompliant activities.
• Authorize payments to subcontractors after inspection and material receipt.
• Manage the customer experience through the construction process with clear communication.
• Maintain site cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal.
• Oversee post-close warranty processes and schedule repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with sales, warranty, and management for proactive issue resolution.
