Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site for home construction from permit to close.

You will schedule and supervise subcontractors, conduct homeowner walk-throughs, and ensure quality workmanship and safety standards are maintained. The role requires coordinating multiple homes, maintaining budget, and delivering on schedule while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two to four years of related experience.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver's license to travel among communities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work.
• General knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule and ensure on-time, quality delivery within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors for each phase and monitor workmanship to meet codes and standards.
• Complete each home site from planning through occupancy, ensuring all obligations are met.
• Inspect subcontractors' work and halt non-compliant activities until corrected.
• Authorize payments to subcontractors after inspection and approvals.
• Oversee the customer experience throughout construction, communicating progress and addressing concerns.
• Maintain site cleanliness and organization on a daily basis.
• Manage post-close warranty process and coordinate subcontractors for repairs.
• Communicate with homeowners to address concerns promptly and professionally.
• Stay current on applicable building codes and DRH procedures.
• Collaborate with sales, warranty, and management to maintain open communication and resolve issues.
