Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Switchboard Operator for a 32-hour, day-shift on-site role. You will operate the telephone control board, dispatch calls, and page clinical staff after hours as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Medical Terminology certification.
• Must have knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent keyboarding and communication skills.
• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and route calls; Dispatch emergency codes to clinical staff.
• Operate telephone control board and paging system; dispatch incoming calls and paging.
• Process paperwork and file on-call schedules and wireless devices.
