Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Telephone Operator to manage incoming calls, dispatch emergency codes to clinical staff, and support on-call schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Accurate keyboarding skills and strong verbal/written communication.
• Good customer service and ability to work all shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Preferred: Medical Terminology certification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones and routes incoming calls to appropriate offices or personnel; Dispatch emergency Code calls to clinical personnel.
• Processes paperwork efficiently; filing and distribution of on-call schedules and wireless devices.
