Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a dedicated switchboard operator to manage internal and external calls, route calls, and coordinate paging across campuses. You will support emergency codes, interpreter services, and on-call staff scheduling while maintaining privacy and high-quality customer interactions.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least six months of customer service experience handling telephone communications.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience using telephone communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exchange accurate information with callers.

Responsibilities

• Answer and process calls using established scripts within timeframes.
• Operate overhead paging and use pagers to notify personnel promptly.
• Answer code telephones quickly and route to the appropriate staff.
• Identify whether a technician or physician is needed and relay requests.
• Reference on-call schedules and notify personnel per established procedures.
• Set up the next day's schedules and coordinate interpreter services when needed.
