Job summary

Via seeks a Field Operations Manager to lead daily onsite operations for its Transit-as-a-Service platform. You will be in the Tacoma area, onsite 4–5 days per week, guiding drivers and coordinating with city partners to deliver safe, reliable transportation for riders.

You’ll make real-time decisions, drive improvements from feedback, and use data to optimize performance while staying hands-on in the field and building strong relationships with teammates and riders.

Qualifications

• Experience in people management, logistics or customer service.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Hands-on, in-the-field problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily onsite operations of our service to provide safe, reliable, and accessible transportation.
• Make informed, real-time decisions about fleet, driver supply, compliance, rider needs, and issues to ensure dependable service.
• Guide and support drivers, addressing concerns and ensuring they feel equipped to deliver great service.
• Turn rider and community feedback into tangible improvements with internal teams for actionable changes.
• Use data and technology to understand service performance, diagnose problems, and implement efficiency improvements.
• Act as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, and Via central teams to realize community goals.
