Via is hiring a Field Operations Manager to oversee daily onsite operations for our Transit‑as‑a‑Service platform. You will manage drivers, fleets, and rider experiences, ensuring safe, reliable transportation across the service area.

The role emphasizes hands‑on field work, strong relationship building with drivers and city partners, and data‑driven continuous improvements to operations and service quality.

Qualifications

• Operational background with people management, logistics, customer service, or process‑oriented work.
• Strong relationship skills and ability to earn trust with drivers, riders, teammates, and partners.
• Hands‑on, proactive in the field, solving problems where they occur.
• Able to think tactically and strategically to mitigate issues long‑term.
• Driven by expanding access to transportation and improving community mobility.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily onsite operations of our service to provide riders with safe, reliable transportation.
• Make real‑time decisions about fleet, driver supply, compliance, rider needs, and issues to maintain dependable service.
• Guide and support drivers, building relationships and addressing concerns.
• Turn rider and community feedback into actionable operational improvements in collaboration with internal teams.
• Use data and technology to diagnose service performance and implement efficiency improvements.
• Act as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, and Via central teams.
