Job summary

Via is seeking a Field Operations Manager to lead daily onsite operations on the Transit-as-a-Service platform in the Bay Area. You will manage drivers and partners, use data to improve service, and collaborate across city partners and central teams to ensure safe, reliable transportation.

You will be hands-on in the field 4–5 days per week, build strong relationships with drivers, riders, and stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement to expand access and efficiency in our operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in people management or operations.
• Strong communication with drivers, riders and partners.
• Hands-on field work and problem solving.
• Ability to analyze data to improve service.
• Mission-driven to expand transportation access.
• Based in the Bay Area and onsite 4–5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily onsite operations to provide safe, reliable transportation.
• Make real-time decisions on fleet, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs.
• Guide and support drivers, building trust and delivering great service.
• Turn rider feedback into actionable improvements with internal teams.
• Use data to diagnose performance and implement efficiency improvements.
• Serve as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers and Via teams.
