Job summary

Via is seeking a Field Operations Manager to lead onsite operations within its Transit-as-a-Service (TaaS) Operations team. You’ll manage daily activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for riders while driving continuous growth of our services.

This fully in-person role is based in the Bay Area, with onsite presence 4–5 days per week. You’ll coordinate with city partners, drivers, and Via central teams to optimize performance and rider experience.

Qualifications

• Operational experience with people management, logistics, or field operations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with drivers, riders, and partners.
• Hands-on, proactive, and data-driven problem solver in field settings.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily onsite operations of our service to provide safe, reliable, and accessible transportation.
• Make informed, real-time decisions about fleet, driver supply, compliance, rider needs, and issues.
• Guide and support drivers, building relationships and ensuring they can deliver great service.
• Turn rider feedback into tangible improvements and collaborate with internal teams.
• Use data and technology to understand service performance and implement efficiency improvements.
• Act as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, and Via central teams.
