Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite Level 2 end-user support in a Windows enterprise environment in Chicago, IL. The role involves travel to Libertyville, IL 1–2 times per week to support additional sites.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of desktop support experience, strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, and hands-on hardware/software troubleshooting. Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, VPN, and ServiceNow is expected.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of desktop support in an enterprise environment.
Solid experience with Windows 10/11 operating systems.
Hands-on break/fix hardware & software support.
Experience documenting issues and resolutions in ServiceNow.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Office).
Experience with Active Directory, VPN connectivity, and basic network concepts.
Certs such as CompTIA A+/Network+ or Microsoft desktop certifications are a plus.
Experience supporting executive/VIP users preferred.
Familiarity with Intune, SCCM/MECM, and endpoint management platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite Level 2 desktop support for PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues in Windows environments.
Perform break/fix repairs and device replacements.
Install, configure, and support enterprise software and OSes.
Support Microsoft 365 apps including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Office.
