Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our client team onsite in Rutland, VT, providing end-user support and hands-on hardware maintenance. The role requires 1–3+ years of PC hardware/software experience and strong problem-solving abilities.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with PowerShell, Intune, Office365, Windows 10 Pro, imaging, and ticketing systems, and thrive in a fast-paced enterprise environment. Local travel is not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3+ years supporting PC hardware and software in a business environment.
• Solid desktop fundamentals with experience in scripting and system administration.
• Experience with Office365, Windows 10 Pro, imaging, and ticketing systems is essential.
• Enterprise technology exposure including engineering, manufacturing, or logistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support onsite in Rutland, VT, handling requests via ServiceNow and in person.
• Repair, image, and configure desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and related hardware.
• Maintain and troubleshoot software and peripherals; perform device imaging and setup.
• Assist with hardware changes, IMAC events, and asset management tasks.
• Support server equipment maintenance, backups, and security procedures as needed.
• Diagnose network and application outages and report findings clearly.
