Job summary

CompucomStaffing's client seeks a Desktop Support Technician to join onsite in San Francisco, CA and provide end-user support. The role requires 2-3+ years of IT support experience, Windows 10/11 expertise, and exceptional customer service while interfacing with high-profile client executives onsite.

Candidates must have their own vehicle for onsite engagements, and the position offers comprehensive benefits with a hourly wage range of $24.75–$33.00.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years IT support experience
• Must have Windows 10/11 experience
• Provide excellent customer service interfacing with high profile client executives onsite
• Strong time management and reporting skills
• Laptop/Desktop/Printer hardware and software support and refresh experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs solo and 50 lbs with a partner
• Occasionally works at heights of 20' to 25' with lift equipment training provided

Responsibilities

• Deliver a deskside service to the client for support on laptop/desktop hardware and software break-fix incidents
• Deploy, configure, and support mobile devices, printers, RF scanners, and standard productivity software for internal users at the site
• Provide "Smart Hands" support related to access points and switches per SOP
• Assist client's IT team with network and infrastructure initiatives, including hardware and systems administration
• Participate in meetings and planning sessions related to maintenance, upgrades, inventory & risk assessment, and disaster recovery
• Take appropriate action regarding security requirements as guided by client IT support teams
• Asset tagging and updating asset database per SOP
