Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join the client team onsite in Longmont, CO. You will provide end-user support, diagnose issues, and perform hardware/software repairs across laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, and mobile devices.

You will serve as a liaison among customers and internal teams, manage user accounts, and escalate complex problems. Strong Windows, Office/Outlook skills and customer-focused communication are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited school.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in related field.
• Desktop and/or Infrastructure support experience.
• VIP / White glove support experience.
• Basic non-warranty repair skills training (Cabling, Printers, Network, Servers) preferred.
• Technical writing competency.
• Sound understanding of customer support, operations, and processes.
• Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally with stakeholders and customers.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks, databases and network security concepts and tools.
• Working knowledge of MS Office including MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures.
• Perform service, repair and/or installation of computer products including system hardware and software, MFD printers, PCs, laptops, printers, cell phones, tablets, servers, and wired/wireless networking.
• Perform account management and maintenance for various applications and systems (e.g., creates or modifies user accounts and permissions, and password resets).
• Provide timely notes and documentation via ticketing systems to track issues.
• Communicate with customers at various skill levels.
• Follow-up with end users to provide status updates per SLA guidelines.
• Act as first escalation point for complex and high-priority problems, forwarding to L3 tech or managers.
• Follow SOPs and utilize knowledge management.
• Collaborate across the organization.
