Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our client onsite in Clearwater, FL, delivering end-user IT support and a positive user experience.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, maintain accounts and permissions, and assist with mobile devices and desk-side services. Excellent communication and customer-facing skills are essential.

Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and provide reliable, professional service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 6+ years of experience supporting PC hardware and software.
• Comfortability providing hands-on support for Server and Network is a plus.
• Experience supporting mobile data plans, mobile networks, and devices is a plus.
• Minimum 3+ years of Deskside Support experience in an enterprise environment.
• Hardware and software support experience.
• Customer facing experience.
• Mobile device support experience.
• Able to train quickly on procedures and should have good IT knowledge base.
• Basic network troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
• Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems.
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups.
• Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
• Resolves network connection issues, track network connections back to network switches.
• Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support if unable to resolve.
• Represents the company in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates.
• Interacts with customers, responding to routine technical questions or requests for information.
