Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our client team onsite in Houston, TX. You will provide end-user support across hardware, software, printers, and networked systems, with a focus on timely, high-quality service.

The role requires 3+ years in desktop/infrastructure support, strong Windows and MS Office knowledge, and excellent communication skills. W2 position; benefits and paid time off are offered.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience in Computer Science or IT.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in related field.
• Desktop and/or Infrastructure support experience.
• VIP / White glove support experience.
• Technical writing competency.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, networks, databases and MS Office/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware, software and system failures using established procedures.
• Install and repair computer products including printers, PCs, laptops, servers and network equipment.
• Manage user accounts and permissions; perform password resets.
• Document issues and resolutions in ticketing systems.
• Communicate with users at all technical levels; provide status updates per SLA.
• Escalate complex problems to L3 support or managers as needed.
• Follow SOPs and contribute to knowledge base; collaborate across the organization.
