CompucomStaffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for an onsite role in Melville, NY to provide end-user support and keep daily operations running. The tech resolves hardware, software, and network issues on laptops, desktops, tablets, printers and phones with on-site support across multiple offices; strong communication and ticketing documentation are essential.

Applicants should have an associate degree or equivalent IT experience, familiarity with Windows, MS Office (Outlook/Teams),

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Desktop and/or Infrastructure support experience
• Technical writing competency
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures
• Perform service, repair and/or installation of computer products including system hardware and software, MFD printers, PCs, laptops, printers, cell phones, tablets, and wired/wireless networking
• Perform account management and maintenance for various applications and systems
• Consistently provide and update notes, feedback, or documentation via the appropriate ticketing systems to track and monitor issues
• Communicate with customers at all levels of technical and non-technical skill sets
• Follow-up with end users to provide status updates as per service level guidelines (SLA's)
• Elevates complex and/or high-priority problems to the appropriate support groups
• Follow all SOPs through knowledge management
• Work collaboratively with people across the organization
