Job summary

CompucomStaffing in Clearwater, FL seeks a Desktop Support Technician to join our client’s team onsite. You will provide end-user support, troubleshoot hardware and software, and maintain user accounts.

The ideal candidate has 3–6+ years of deskside experience in an enterprise environment, strong IT knowledge, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting. CompTIA A+ is preferred but not required; W2 employment only.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 6+ years of experience supporting PC Hardware and software.
• Experience deskside support in an enterprise environment.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred but not required.
• Able to train quickly on procedures and should have good IT knowledge base.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with strong personalities.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
• Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems.
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups.
• Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
• Resolves network connection issues, track network connections back to network switches.
• Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support if unable to resolve.
• Represents the company in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates.
• Interacts with customers, responding to routine technical questions or requests for information
