Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our client on-site in Clearwater, FL. You will provide end-user support, troubleshoot PCs, and assist with hardware and software maintenance.

You will resolve network issues, support mobile devices, and interact with customers professionally while documenting issues and coordinating with teams. The role requires 3–6+ years of experience and a strong IT knowledge base.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 6+ years of experience supporting PC hardware and software.
• Hands-on server and network support is a plus.
• Experience supporting mobile data plans, networks, and devices is a plus.
• Minimum 3+ years of deskside support in an enterprise environment.
• Hardware and software support experience.
• Customer-facing experience.
• Mobile device support experience.
• Able to train quickly on procedures and should have a good IT knowledge base.
• Basic network troubleshooting skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with strong personalities and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
• Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems.
• Supports and maintains user accounts, rights, security, and groups.
• Trains employees and identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures; orders parts as needed.
• Resolves network connection issues and traces connections to switches.
• Escalates problems when unable to resolve at current level.
• Represents the company professionally and communicates with customers and associates.
• Interacts with customers, responding to routine technical questions or information requests.
