Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to support on-site in Arkansas City, KS. The role operates on a rotating on-call schedule with hours from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM CST and a contract-to-hire path.

The candidate will repair and image PCs, manage hardware and software assets, and resolve end-user issues in a fast-paced enterprise environment. Strong PowerShell, Intune, and ServiceNow skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess solid desktop fundamentals with experience in PowerShell, Intune, and system administration.
• Experience with asset management.
• Demonstrate high energy in fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of enterprise technologies (Office365, Win10 Pro, imaging, and ticketing systems).
• Experience supporting applications related to engineering, manufacturing, and logistics is a plus.
• Confident, positive attitude to deliver great customer experience.
• Deep understanding of diagnosing and troubleshooting PC hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Repair, test, image and clean PCs, laptops, monitors, and printers.
• Troubleshoot software and peripherals; configure hardware.
• Perform installs, moves, adds and changes; handle PC refreshes.
• Ensure tickets receive follow-up and are resolved.
• Use ServiceNow and visual task board for work tracking.
• Provide in-person end-user support at the customer's site.
• Back up and secure end-user data.
• Assist in process improvements and team resolutions.
• Collaborate with Site Leader on processes and escalations.
• Assist with server-related maintenance and upgrades.
• Perform backup, recovery, and security procedures as needed.
• Diagnose network hardware and performance issues.
• Handle on-site network/system administration tasks.
• Diagnose shop-floor PC deployments.
