Job summary

Gtatelecom is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a 2-month contract in Winfield, Kansas. You will repair, image, and test PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and related hardware at the client site.

The role requires 3–7 years' experience in PC hardware/software, excellent customer service, and hands-on work with servers and network equipment in an enterprise environment. On-site, end-user support is required.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years’ experience supporting PC hardware and software.
• Excellent customer service skills and experience.
• Deep understanding of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and replacing PC hardware components and software issues.
• Strong understanding or work experience of server and network support within an enterprise.
• Energetic, professional, heads-down, social, and process driven.
• Comfortable providing hands & feet support for server and network infrastructure.
• Experience working in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to handle multiple projects.
• Ability to set up, configure, and add all hardware.
• Experience with asset management and large IMAC events.

Responsibilities

• Repair, test, image, and clean PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and related hardware.
• Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and peripherals.
• Ensure tickets needing follow-up receive proper attention.
• Assist with installations, configurations, upgrades, patches, and maintenance of server equipment.
• Perform backup, recovery, and security procedures.
• Detect, diagnose, and report outages of critical site applications.
• Assist with diagnosing network hardware and performance problems.
• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of the physical network.
• Complete network system administration tasks as needed.
• Provide in-person end-user support at the customer site.
• Back up and secure end-user data.
• Help document improvements to current processes.
• Support coworkers in resolving issues across the program.
• Assist Site Leader with established processes and escalations.
