Job summary

TEKsystems in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a permanent Desktop Support Technician to support End-Users across the organization in an onsite, fast-paced environment. The role focuses on desktop support, device deployment, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.

Responsibilities include building and deploying Windows PCs, providing break/fix support, resolving connectivity issues, and assisting with workstation moves, while collaborating with Infrastructure, Network and Security teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in desktop support, help desk, or service desk environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience building and deploying PCs and workstations.
• Hardware support and break/fix experience.
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft technologies.
• Knowledge of connectivity troubleshooting, including network and wireless issues.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, hardware, and peripheral issues.
• Build, configure, deploy, and support Windows-based PCs and workstations.
• Provide break/fix support for end-user computing devices.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, including network and wireless access problems.
• Support printers, monitors, docking stations, and other endpoint technologies.
• Respond to Service Desk tickets and provide exceptional customer support.
• Escalate complex issues when required while maintaining ownership of incidents.
• Assist with workstation moves, installations, and equipment upgrades.
• Document issues, resolutions, and support activities within ticketing systems.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Network, and Security teams as needed.
